Its motorcycle scheme launched in 1936, making 2026 its 90th year, selling cover through dealers so riders could leave the showroom insured the same day. That gives it a fair claim to being the UK’s first motorcycle insurance specialist. The Romford-based broker now covers over 140,000 riders, has been owned over the years by Churchill and RBS, and joined Arthur J. Gallagher in 2022.

Protects the same, plus your own bike against fire and theft.

Comprehensive

Protects the same, plus accidental damage to your own bike and your own injuries.

What Options and Add-Ons Are Available?

You can add cover individually, or take one of Devitt’s two discounted bundles, which work out cheaper than buying the extras separately:

  • Devitt Enhanced: legal expenses cover and RAC roadside breakdown, on top of the base policy
  • Devitt Evolution: everything in Enhanced, plus helmet and leathers and personal accident cover

The individual extras you can add include legal expenses, RAC breakdown, helmet and leathers, personal accident and pillion cover. Devitt’s base policies also include up to 90 days of EU cover, though as always the detail sits with the underwriter behind your quote.
